Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city life, is the highly desirable community of Anthem, Arizona. Established in 1999 by Del Webb, Anthem is approximately 34 miles north of downtown Phoenix and offers some of the best amenities in a master-planned community. Something special and unique about the Outlets at Anthem is the annual “America’s Tallest Christmas Tree.” On average, America’s Tallest Christmas Tree is between 112-115 feet tall and requires three miles of LED lights and over 25,000 ornaments, which are put on by hand, one by one. In November the Outlets at Anthem hosts a special event for the annual lighting of the tree.
Every spring, Anthem hosts a two-day event, enjoyed by residences and people from across the valley. Anthem Days is a free, family-friendly event that highlights the best of Anthem living. The festival features a Carnival, Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt, Live Music, Beer Garden, Food, and Kid Zone with Inflatable Fun. This event is open to the public and not limited to Anthem residence. Anthem Days is admission free.
One unique feature about the lifestyle in Anthem, Arizona is the community amenities. Anthem Community Center (ACC) is a beautiful facility that provides programs and activities which accommodate the diverse lifestyles of the community – and for any age. Residences can enjoy a wide variety of activities and classes from crafts, gymnastics, Zumba, yoga, basketball, volleyball, rock climbing, personal trainers, and so much more. There are meeting rooms available for businesses, and child care is available.
Throughout the community, there are play grounds and common areas that are surrounded by biking and walking trails. Beyond what is offered at ACC, the outdoor recreation at Anthem is fantastic. Unique to Anthem is the water park, located right within the community. Residence can enjoy a wade pool, diving and leisure pools, plus the Liberty Bell Park Splash Pad. There is a skate park, volleyball and basketball courts, soccer and softball fields. If you enjoy the arts and history, Anthem also has a community amphitheater and the Daisy Mountain Railroad.
If you like to golf, Anthem has you covered. Anthem Country Club has two championship golf courses, designed by Greg Nash. Persimmon and Ironwood both have golf practice facilities, chipping, sand play and putting. Both golf courses are more than 7,200 yards from the back tees with incredible views of the surrounding desert terrain. Deer Valley District 97 is comprised of 367 square miles, serving Anthem, New River, Glendale, Peoria, Cave Creek, Phoenix and some unincorporated areas of Maricopa County. Within the community of Anthem, Arizona there are several Deer Valley Schools that service the area, plus charter schools.
